What Is Float Therapy?

Float Therapy is a wellness practice that involves resting in a private float tank or pool filled with warm water and a high concentration of Epsom salt. The salt creates natural buoyancy, allowing you to float effortlessly on the surface.

Without the usual pull of gravity and external stimulation, the body is free to enter a state of deep relaxation. Many people report feeling refreshed, restored, and more connected to themselves after a session.

No prior experience is necessary. Float Therapy is accessible to people from all walks of life and can be integrated into a wellness routine, athletic recovery program, stress management practice, or personal healing journey.

Why Floating Works

Modern life asks a lot of our nervous systems.

Constant stimulation from screens, responsibilities, noise, and stress can leave the body in a persistent state of activation. Float Therapy creates an environment where those demands are temporarily removed.

The combination of effortless buoyancy, warm water, and sensory reduction allows the body to shift into a deeply restorative state. As muscles relax and external distractions fade away, many people experience a profound sense of calm, spaciousness, and renewal.

For some, floating feels like meditation. For others, it becomes a valuable recovery tool or a place to process life’s challenges with greater clarity.

Like many of the services offered through Kia’i Wellness, Float Therapy meets you where you are and supports your body’s innate wisdom for healing and self-regulation.
